A native of Indiana, Ronny began playing the piano and organ at "Universal
Baptist Church" at the age often. The founders and Pastors were Rev.
Jesse Mills and Norma Mills, his parents. The following accomplishments
are highlighted belownthony Whigham is no stranger to those who follow
gospel music. He has recorded a total of five albums that have rapidly
risen in the gospel charts. He travels the country extensively involved
in full time music ministry, and evangelism and in 1999 toured in
Africa-Zimbabwe, Johannesberg, and Cape Town-for three weeks.
1981: A Featured
performer in the "Black History Celebration" at Olivet Nazarene
college in Kankakee, Illinois.
1983: Moved
to Oakland, California and has worked with many churches in the
San Francisco Bay Area such as: New Life Center, Church Of The Nazarene
in Oakland, First Union Baptist Church of San Francisco, Cornerstone
Baptist Church of Oakland, Jones Memorial Baptist Church ol San
Francisco, first A.M.E. in Oakland, and St. Paul A.M.E of Berkeley.
1989: Ronny
started writing music at this time beginning with his first song
"Why Do We Doubt God Word.
1992-1996: Ronny
contributed in producing two albums: "Taking Gospel Music Higher"
Emmitt Powell and The Gospel Elite s "When God Steps In" Alfreda
Mitchell.
1993: Appeared
as opening act for Twinkie dark of the dark Sisters in Los Angeles,
CA.
1994: Performed
for the "Bobby Jones Gospel Explosion in San Francisco, CA.
1994-1996: Appeared
a special guest of the "Black History Celebration" at Stanford University
in Palo Alto, California.
1996-1997: Appeared
on several television shows such as: "Coast to Coast Ministries"
channel 42, "Concord gospel search", TCI Cable Channel 26, "Alfreda
Mitchell and Success", TCI Cable Channel 26.
1998: Ronny
has completed his solo recording which will be released in the summer
of 1998.
